Lower School

 

Our Lower School provides a fun introduction to learning. Consisting of Reception and Years 1 and 2, it enables the girls to become accustomed to school routines and learn the basic academic skills.

 

 

Importantly, all the core subjects in the curriculum are taught by a Form Teacher. This gives the girls a fixed point of reference for their school day and so provides the security in which they can develop confidence and understanding. Specialist teachers are introduced for subjects such as PE, Music, French and Religious Studies.

 

Throughout the three years, we place the emphasis on building the essential skills of literacy and numeracy while also laying the foundations for humanities, science and technology. Plenty of time is allocated for developing creative talents and we provide an enjoyably varied physical education programme.
