All Parents belong
All parents of present pupils automatically become members of the Friends. Their enthusiasm and support plays a vital role in engendering the community spirit of the school and raising extra funds tofurther the reach and experience of the girls.
There are many different levels of involvement within the Friends and every parent contributes simply by supporting the fundraisers and attending other functions which the school arranges. Many parents will volunteer to be Form Representatives for their daughter's year. It is with thanks to these volunteers that reading and library rotas are arranged and that we have enjoyed all the Recent Events while looking forward to those fundraisers Coming Up.
The Office Holders are responsible for coordinating all the fundraising efforts of the Form Representatives and parents.
Many wonderful resources have already been bought for the school by the Friends, including interactive whiteboards, cameras and most recently, floodlighting for the playground. Purchases for the coming year include a traversing wall with foot and hand holes, magnetic wall-mounted games boards, picnic tables with games on top (chess etc), a trolley for the Hall housing a projector and laptop, upgrading the stage and backdrops for Drama, a keyboard for the multi-purpose room as well as updating the school’s ICT software.
