French

 

At the Old Vicarage, French is an important part of the curriculum. We aim to foster a love and enjoyment of the language and to provide a firm grounding for future language learning.

 

 

French is taught from Reception to year 6 by specialist teachers. Starting with songs and games, girls quickly gain in confidence and ability. Year 6 girls spend a week at a French Chateau, where they have plenty of opportunities to experience the language and culture of the country.

 

Other subjects on the Old Vicarage curriculum are English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, History, Geography, Religious Education, Art and Design Technology along with library studies.
