French

 

The Old Vicarage has long emphasised the importance of French and will continue to do so in recognition of Britain’s role within Europe.

 

 

French is taught from the age of 4 in small groups so that the girls build a good vocabulary and quickly find the confidence to converse in the language. Year 6 girls gain experience of the French language and culture on a field trip to the country in their last term.

 

The other core subjects on the Old Vicarage curriculum are English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, History, Geography, Religious Education, Art and Design Technology along with library studies.
