A strong grasp of ICT, and computer literacy in general, is an enormous asset in the real world. As such, we integrate ICT into our girls' learning experience from Reception onwards. ICT at the Old Vicarage is taught as a discreet subject in our networked ICT suite and also incorporated into other lessons by means of interactive whiteboard facilities and computers in each classroom. New technology is introduced regularly to make the learning environment more productive and time efficient.

Before leaving us, every girl will have used a variety of ICT tools and, crucially, will be able to prepare and present information in a discriminating and effective way. Our girls are guided and supported in learning strategies for keeping safe online. They will be competent in using multimedia software, touch typing, internet search engines and Microsoft Office. From Year Three, they are allocated an email address to help with the continuous development of their confidence and capability.
The other core subjects on the Old Vicarage curriculum are English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Religious Education, French, Art and Design Technology along with library studies.
