Mathematics

 

 

We aim for our girls to enjoy and be competent in using mathematical processes. Mental agility is given high priority and lessons will frequently demonstrate how mathematical knowledge is relevant to life situations.  Girls will develop quick recall of essential number facts and the times tables, taking great pride in the award of a ‘T’ badge when all their tables are secure.

 

By the time they leave the Old Vicarage, all the girls are expected to be capable of confidently meeting the mathematical challenges of senior school.

 

The other core subjects on the Old Vicarage curriculum are English, Science, ICT, History, Geography, Religious Education, French, Art and Design Technology along with library studies.
